4 Outfits For Your Next Hyped Concert Night
You claim to be broke, yet you emptied your last paycheck on ravExchange for the concert this weekend. But, aren’t we all guilty. Concerts are typically high energy, stuffy venues, so it is important to wear the right outfit to feel and stay cool.
Here are some things to keep in mind ~
Leave the flouncy fits — People are dancing, jumping, and moving around, so stick to more comfortable, form fitting clothing unless flashing people is your drift
Wear comfortable shoes — Sneakers are perfect and practical but if you want to jazz it up, platforms are great alternatives. Not only can you view the stage better but also feel comfortable. Avoid steep heels which can be painful to stand around in and dangerous if people begin cramming together and stay away from open toed shoes.
Check the venue — Keep the venue in mind. Is it outdoors or indoors? Are there drinks served? If so, wear shoes that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty or spilled on.
Stay cold — Oh, the lifelong dilemma... should I bring a jacket? Brave it and leave it. The venue is going to be very warm. Besides, you are already too hot. Otherwise, bring something that can be tied around your waist when it becomes stuffy.
Now that you know what you are getting yourself into, let’s jump into some of the looks.
EDGY
A nice pair of black leggings is always a good idea for colder, night venues, especially since it allows you to move around freely. Yes, I know so basic. But it’s comfortable and easy to pair with, so your girl is sold. You can pair it with a bralette or bandeau and top it off with a sparkly mesh shirt. Mesh is a great material to throw on if you don’t want as much skin exposed, but still want to give off an edgy vibe. The material is also breathable so you won’t feel as hot or stuffy when you are crammed next to a Lambda and Chad from Beta Apple Pi.
RISQUE
Now if it is one of those warmer nights that don’t turn you into a human popsicle, shorts are always a casual go-to look. To take it to the next level, fishnets and shorts can be quite the sexy couple. Blue denim shorts tend to be more casual, however, if you would like to streamline the outfit, you can also try black shorts. A high neck top with the perforated detailing ties the outfit back together without overdoing the fishnet pattern.
FLARE AWAY
Flare pants are a statement piece, but can be downplayed with a simpler top. This look has a strappy back complemented with a corset-looking belt to spice it up. Since flare pants are wider at the bottom, a more fitted top helps to slim your figure while accentuating your curves. When wearing flare pants, make sure that the length of the pant barely hits the floor otherwise, a cropped pant could look very awkward.
CASUAL N’ CUTE
The marriage of shorts and skirts into skorts are hands down my favorite bottoms. This combination is the perfect hybrid between flirtiness and utility. Rompers are also a great alternative to skorts and skirts. I paired the plaid skort look with an excessive amount of hair ties because it was the cheapest alternative to bangles (jokes aside, hair ties can keep you from sweating to death).
Whether you want to keep the night more casual or dress it up, there are many options. Dress in what makes you feel comfortable and confident. I’m definitely jealous that you’ll be going to Galantis this weekend, but then I remembered the entire concert will be on your Snapchat story so thanks in advance.
